JSON Format
Best for: Backing up your data or migrating to another app.
- →Full recipe data in standard JSON format
- →Includes title, ingredients, instructions, images, notes, ratings, collections, and metadata
- →Easy to parse programmatically or re-import into Honest Recipes
This is the most complete export format.
JSON-LD Format (schema.org)
Best for: Structured data for websites or SEO purposes.
- →Follows the schema.org Recipe standard
- →Compatible with Google, search engines, and recipe aggregators
- →Can be embedded in web pages for rich search results
Useful if you're building a recipe website or want to publish recipes with proper metadata.
CSV Format
Best for: Spreadsheets or simple data analysis.
- →Opens in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers, or any spreadsheet app
- →One row per recipe with columns for title, ingredients, instructions, etc.
- →Good for filtering, sorting, or analyzing your recipe collection
Note: CSV is less structured than JSON, so some nested data (like ingredient lists) may be flattened.
