Translate any recipe in your library into one of a dozen languages — including the title, description, ingredients, steps, and notes — without leaving the recipe view.
What recipe translation does
- →Full recipe coverage: Translates the title, description, ingredient list, cooking steps, and any notes
- →Non-destructive: Your original recipe is never overwritten — switch back to the original at any time
- →View only: Translation is shown on the recipe screen; the underlying saved recipe stays in its original language
How to translate a recipe
- 1.Open any saved recipe from your library
- 2.Tap the Translate button (globe icon) near the top of the recipe
- 3.Pick a target language from the dropdown
- 4.Wait a moment while the recipe is translated
- 5.To go back, tap the Original button that replaces the Translate button while a translation is active

Requirements & limitations
- →Sign-in required: Translation requires an account so we can apply fair-use rate limits. If you’re signed out, the Translate button will be disabled.
- →Needs internet: Translations are generated on demand, so this feature doesn’t work offline
- →Cooking terminology: Most ingredient and step translations are accurate, but cuisine-specific terms (regional ingredients, technique names) may not always have a perfect equivalent
- →Display only: The translated text isn’t saved to your library — switch to a different recipe or tap “Original” and you’ll be back to the original language
Open a recipe and tap the globe icon to try a translation.
